Curriculum Vitae

Jochen Kitzbihler was born in Ludwigshafen/Rhine in 1966. After graduating from the Freie Waldorfschule Mannheim, he completed an apprenticeship as a stone sculptor. From 1989 to 1995, Kitzbihler studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe. He completed his studies with a diploma and was appointed master student of Prof. Hiromi Akiyama in 1997.

Jochen Kitzbihler’s works are represented in museum collections, the French State Collection, numerous public collections and international private collections. He lives and works in Freiburg in Breisgau, in Breitnau in the Black Forest and in Nantes, France.
