Quartz veins, silicon-rich layers - storage and memory of earthly events... with the discovery of the possibilities of serial, horizontal arrangements of the quartz veins often running wild through the raw blocks in the quarry, a completely new sculptural, found dimension arose personally. As a result, an entire group of these granodiorite sculptures has been created to date, in which the quartz veins mark out serial sequences in planned arrangements or freely allowed to form. (jk 2008)
