IUL is a natural sculpture, an erratic boulder made of quartz diorite, which is in a quiet, permanent process of erosion, that is, a perpetual change of form. As in classical sculpture, this molding process is determined by substraction, through the
“detachment” of material. I observe and explore here again the corresponding interaction of mass, time, form and emptiness. (jk)
