Die Granitstele entstand 2009 in einer Zeit des Umbruchs als eines der ersten Werke im Breitnauer Atelier. Mit ihren stellenweise beinahe durchtrennten, unzähligen Einschnitten ist Fragilität, das Serielle sowie Balance gleichermaßen thematisiert. Zugleich weist die Kleinskulptur einen äußerst hohen Grad gegebenr Struktur auf, die in einer verschlüsselten Weise in eine in sich gespiegelte Konstruktion zurückgeführt wird (!) Vor diesem Hintergrund passt cutcutcut (...past/present/future) als eine spontane, zeitübergreifende Markierung genau in das Konzept der diesjährigen Gruppenausstellung iNITIAL im Kunstverein Freiburg, wo sie in einer besonderen Weise präsentiert war (aktualisiertes Foto hier).

This granite sculpture was created in 2009, in a time of changings and as one of the first works in my Black Forest Studio. It`s partially almost separated and countless incuts, it`s fragility, seriel structures and balance are centre issues. At the same time this sculpture presents a high grade of coincident structure, which is leading back into a hidden, mirrored construction (!) On this background and as a spontaneous/time shifting mark, cutcutcut (...past/present/future) fit perfect into the recent groupexhibition iNITIAL in Kunstverein Freiburg. There it will be represented in another spontaneous and special display (actualised, new photo here).
